Tula: Measles. You know measles?
Sarah: Yes, ‘f course.
Tula: We lose more people to measles and diarrhea. Many
die. No vaccine.
Sarah: We brough some vaccines…
Tula: Also cholera, everywhere. We dig very deep for good
water. Starvation everywhere. Death is everywhere.
Sarah: You speak English very well.
Tula: Missionaries teach me.
Sarah: Ah, yeah? So, are you married? Do you have a
husband?
Tula: Men? Bullshits! I need no men. They beg to marry me
many times, but I drive truck. Lazy man, good for
nothing. I’m too old now anyway. No men in my village
want women over 18.
Sarah: In my tribe is 30.

TT Instance Transcription:

Tula: Morbillo. Conosce morbillo?
Sarah: Si, certo.
Tula: Perdiamo più vite per morbillo e diarrea. Molti
muoiono. Niente vaccini.

Sarah: Ne abbiamo portate delle scatole.
Tula: Anche colera, dappertutto. Ora scaviamo in
profondità per l’acqua buona. C’è fame dovunque. La morte
è dovunque.
Sarah: Parla molto bene la mia lingua.
Tula: L’ho imparata dai missionari.
Sarah: Ah, si? È sposta? Ha un marito?
Tula: Un uomo? Stronzate! No, non mi serve. Mi hanno
pregato di sposarli molte volte, ma io guido camion. Uomo
pigro, buono a nulla. E poi sono troppo vecchia ormai. Al
mio villaggio non vogliono quelle dopo i 18.
Sarah: Nella mia tribù dopo i 30.

Sarah: Hi.
Nick: I dream of childhood… I dream of love… of a garden
where a boy plays, forever young. Themes from childhood.
Part of a series from Schumann’s “Lederhosen”.
Sarah: “Lederhosen” are trousers.
Nick: Ah.
Sarah: The German for song is “Lieder”.
Nick: Lieder, yes, correct.
Sarah: Is there something you wanted?
Nick: The baby… You tried the H.E.M.?
Sarah: Yes.
Nick: And?
Sarah: And no change.
Nick: Sometimes it takes a while.

TT Instance Transcription:

Sarah: Salve.
Nick: Sogno l’infanzia… sogno l’amore… un giardino dove
un bambino giochi per sempre giovane. Temi dell’infanzia.

Sarah: Si.
Nick: E allora?
Sarah: Nessun cambiamento.
Nick: A volte richiede tempo.
